Tracey Riese
Through RIESE & OTHERS, Tracey invests in and advises early-stage companies, with a focus on enterprise software, e-commerce and the art market. She currently sits on the board of Itemize. Most recently, she served on the board of Rapt Media, whose acquisition by Kaltura was completed in 2021.
She brings experience sitting in all four corners of the board room – founder, director, senior corporate executive and advisor – combined with expertise in corporate strategy, branding, and marketing, developed over a 30+ year career across a wide range of industries.
Tracey is also a managing director of Golden Seeds, one of the country’s most active early stage investment firms, focused on women-led companies and diverse management teams across a wide variety of sectors.
Parallel to her RIESE & OTHERS portfolio, Tracey is president of TG RIESE & (www.tgriese.com), a company she founded in 1994. TGRIESE & works with the boards and senior leadership of FF500 companies, public and private companies, and venture capital and private equity firms on issues of strategy, branding, leadership and culture. Previously, Tracey was SVP Corporate and Marketing Communications Worldwide at Revlon; VP Corporate Communications at RJR Nabisco; and VP Marketing at Chemical Bank. Prior to that she managed cross-agency teams for large corporate clients of the Y&R group of agencies, covering financial services, telecommunications, media and pharmaceuticals. Earlier in her career, she was part of the team that launched the corporate art advisory business at Sotheby's.
Tracey is actively engaged in not-for-profit leadership and presently serves on the boards of the Brooklyn Museum and E.L. Education, as chair of the Strategic Planning Committee at both organizations, and of Sarah Lawrence College, as chair of the Advancement and Communications Committee..
She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College.
